Shirley Darlene Watson, 77 of Forest Grove Oregon died October 5th 2019.
She was born August 2nd 1942 in Hillsboro, Oregon to William Walter Hinkle and Ester Gertrude Kiepke, the 6th of 8 children.
Shirley grew up and lived most of her life in Hillsboro, Oregon, graduating from Hillsboro High School. After school Shirley went to work for GAF industries in Beaverton devoting much of her free time to the church and ministry which she belonged to for more than 60 years.
Shirley met Charles Monroe Watson through her ministries; they later married on August 31st 1973, in Hillsboro. Shirley and Charles had two children. Together they enjoyed camping, fishing and long road trips, and spending as much time as possible with their grandchildren.
Survivors include children Kim (Bret) Carmichael of Forest Grove, Travis (Nicole) Watson of Banks, and 4 grandchildren: Tate, Hannah, Riley, and Chloe.
Services will be held Friday October 18th, 1pm at Donelson Funeral Chapel in Hillsboro, with closed casket viewing 9am- 12.
