Steven Michael Sinclair

November 22, 1946 — November 27, 2024

Steven (Steve) Michael Sinclair, 78, passed away on November 27th in his home in Hillsboro, OR.
Steve was the beloved son of Stanley and Grace Sinclair, born on November 22, 1946 in Portland, OR, and had three older sisters Shirley, Jeanne, and Nancy. He is survived by his wife Cathi who kept him young at heart and was his loving companion for 41 years.
He graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1964 where he excelled in athletics, playing football, baseball, cross country and track. He entered the Army shortly after, serving in Vietnam in the 11th US Cavalry Regiment. Steve was proud to serve his country and wanted everyone to remember the fallen.
Steve was an extremely dedicated employee and worked in service his entire career for various manufacturers and service providers. He also served as a volunteer firefighter and EMT. He was a very humble man and was known and loved for his generosity and kind heart, always concerned with others over himself. He spent countless hours volunteering for charitable organizations and giving what he could to those in need.
Steve took great pride in his Scottish heritage, serving Clan Sinclair in various leadership roles, as well as the American Military Society color guard where he was given a quilt of valor. His faith was a very important part of his life, with faithful attendance at both All Saints Episcopal Church and Reedville Presbyterian Church.
Steve was a deeply beloved, father, husband, grandfather, uncle, cousin, brother, and friend. His passing was sudden and quick, and we know he is now at peace and no longer suffering from many ailments that he endured here on earth.
Steve's greatest joy in life was adopting his daughter Amy. He took great pride in seeing her successes and accomplishments including her two sons Theodore and Oliver.
He was preceded to heaven by his mother, father, and sister Shirley. Steve will be missed by all who knew him and were able to experience his never-ending kindness. He has been a support to so many, also remembered for his humor and wit.
A service will be planned after the upcoming holidays. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity in his name.
