Sylvia Elizabeth Rosato passed away February 26, 2011, at a Portland hospital, with her family by her side.
She was born November 28, 1929, in Morgan Mill, Texas, to Ben and Dollie Laughlin.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Donelson~Fir Lawn Memorial Center, 1070 W. Main St., Hillsboro, Oregon, 97123.
Private interment will be held at Fir Lawn Memorial Park, Hillsboro, Oregon.
Sylvia was raised in Morgan Mill, Texas, and graduated from high school there. She moved to Oregon in 1946 and married Don Rosato in 1948 in Stevenson, WA. She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Hillsboro. She and Don lived in Hillsboro since 1971. Together they owned and operated North's Chuck Wagon restaurants in Beaverton, Hillsboro, and Tualatin.
She is preceded in death by her son John, and most recently her husband Don on February 8, 2011.
Sylvia is survived by her son, James and wife Michele of Hillsboro; Jane Rosato of Hillsboro; 2 granddaughters, Christina M. Slater and her husband Neil of Yamhill, and Amy N. Rosato of Salem; 2 brothers, Russell and Luke Laughlin; 2 sisters, Jennie Bauer and Daisy Young; and 2 great-grandchildren, Katie & Kyle Slater.
