Wayne Berger, 63, died March 7, 2011, from a heart attack.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m., March 26, at Bethany Presbyterian Church, 15505 NW Springville Road, in Portland.
Wayne Henry Berger was born Jan. 8, 1948, in Portland, to Henry and Edna Berger. He grew up in Hillsboro and attended Orenco Grade School and graduated from Hilhi Class of 1966. He graduated in business from Portland State University after two tours of duty in Vietnam.
He married Patricia Bogue in 1973; their honeymoon was a three-month camping trip in Europe.
He worked in construction and began his own construction company in 1981.
He enjoyed sports and helped coach teams on which his sons played. Go Beavs!
He is survived by his wife, Pat; sons, Matt and Josh; siblings, Harold, Leanore, Evelyn and Kathy; and one granddaughter.
