Willard {Bill} L. Owen age 83 of Hillsboro died March 29, 2011 in a Portland hospital.
He was born June 25, 1927 in Elsie, Nebraska and had lived most of his life in Hillsboro. Willard served in the Navy in the south Pacific in WWII. He drove a Log truck for many years prior to becoming a shipping manager for Tektronix retiring in the early 80's after 29 years.
Willard was a charter member of the Hillsboro Elks Lodge #1862. A particular point of pride was having a private pilot's license in his younger days.. He was noted for the large US flag he displayed in his front yard on the 4 th of July.

He was preceded in death by his wife Kathie and son Ronald.
Memorial Services will be held Sun. April 10, 2011. at 1:00 P. M. at Hillsboro Elks Lodge 21865 NW Quatama Rd. Hillsboro, OR 97124.
