Woodrow Wilson Besson passed peacefully at Cornell Estates on Veteran's Day, November 11, 2012. Woody was born in Duluth, MN, and raised in Two Harbors, MN. He served in the US Navy during WWII. Woody was married to Phyllis Besson for 46 years,. They enjoyed traveling and took many trips together until her death in 1986.They had 4 children, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Woody was married to Agnes Rolfe in 1998. Together they did some traveling and enjoyed weekly bus trips to Reno before moving to Cornell Estates. Agnes died in 2007. He was known for having a fine voice and sang even into his much later years. Following his favorite sports teams, horse racing, and family visits gave Woody much pleasure as he aged. He was highly thought of as a kind, generous man and much loved by his family.. He will be greatly missed.
Woody's family is very appreciative of the care he received from Hospice Care of the Northwest and the staff at Cornell Estates.
