Joey Coomer has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 2010. He spent most of his life in Kentucky and Indiana before moving to the Pacific Northwest in early 2020. Joey came to Fir Lawn in 2023 as the funeral director and location manager for Fir Lawn Funeral Home. He lives in Portland with his spouse and two stunning cats.
Veronica Dunham is a Funeral Director Apprentice and Embalming Apprentice with Fir Lawn Funeral Home. She is originally from the Seattle area. In her free time, she enjoys trivia nights, exercise, and spending time with her two rambunctious cats.
Teryl Meeker is the Family Service Advisor for Fir Lawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home. She keeps the day-to-day operations of the cemetery running smoothly. Teryl came to Fir Lawn in the summer of 2024 after a long career in the funeral industry. She has three spirited dogs that take up a lot of her free time.
Kim Morley has joined Fir Lawn as our Preneed/Aftercare Specialist, helping families pre-plan their services. She has spent more than 20 years in the funeral home and cemetery industry as well as 15 years in the bowling business. Most recently she oversaw the day-to-day operations of 3 cemeteries and 7 funeral homes. Kim also served as a board member for the Cemetery Association of Oregon and the State of Oregon Historic Cemetery Commission.
Kim lives in Washington but loves to travel. Kim and her husband, Rob, have 9 grandchildren ranging in age from 3 months to 19 years old. They definitely keep them running! But when they have some time for themselves, they enjoy golf, bowling, and travel.
Joe Ortiz has been the Cemetery Superintendent at Fir Lawn Memorial Park for over 35 years. A long-time Hillsboro resident, Joe enjoys spending time with his family and his adorable dogs. Joe is often out taking care of the cemetery grounds, so if you see him, feel free to say hello and ask him any questions you might have. He knows a lot about the history of the cemetery.
Greg Clark has lived in the Portland area his whole life and has been working in the funeral industry for the last 10 years. He currently lives in Hillsboro with his wife, 2 children, 2 loyal dogs, and a hungry frog. When not helping around the funeral home and cemetery, Greg is a school bus driver.
